Three: Captain P. M. Kerwood, Worcestershire Regiment

1914-15 Star (Lieut., Worc., R.); British War and Victory Medals (Capt.); together with two matching silver frames, 12 c.m. by 16 c.m., both with hallmarks for Birmingham 1918, and inscribed across top “He died for his country”, one inscribed ‘Capt. M. Kerwood, Worcs: “The Lickey”, the other inscribed ‘Maj. L. Kerwood, Worcs. “The Lickey”, each containing a studio portrait photograph of recipient, good very fine (5) £300-350

Philip Malcolm Kerwood was killed in action in France and Flanders on 25 June 1915 whilst serving with the 8th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment. He is buried at Bailleul Communal Cemetery Extension, France.

Lionel Kerwood was killed in action in France and Flanders on 21 October 1916 whilst serving with the 1/8th Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment. He is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial., Somme, France.
