Captain Edward Richard Bottrill was commissioned 2nd Lieutenant in May 1915. In the Great War he served with the 7th Divisional Supply Company, Supply and Transport Corps. He was Mentioned in Despatches for Waziristan (London Gazette 10.6.1921).
