Brigade) complete with silver ribbon buckle; Army L.S. & G.C., E.VII.R. (8125 C. Serjt., Rif. Brigade); Meritorious Service Medal, G.VI.R., 1st issue (8126 C.Cjt., Rif. Brig.) note error in number on the last, together with two original letters concerning award of M.S.M. and Annuity, light contact marks, otherwise good very fine (4) £350-400

M.S.M. awarded in Army Order 34 of February 1946. He was one of nine Rifle Brigade recipients of the 1903 Delhi Durbar medal in his capacity as senior non-commissioned officer. Approximately seven recipients of this medal also received an Annuity M.S.M., making this a unique combination to the Rifle Brigade.
