B.E.M. London Gazette 1 January 1945. The recommendation states: ‘An N.C.O. of the Supplementary Reserve who, since his recall to service, in Sept. 39 has done much in the training of new personnel. A thoroughly loyal N.C.O. who within recent months has performed highly important liaison duties with General Headquarters, 2nd Echelon, 21 Army Group. His work in this connection has been outstanding and merits the highest praise.’
