Sold with a series of photographs of the Canadian Contingent Memorial at Nicosia and copied obituary from the Ric-A-Dam-Doo, the journal of the 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, which includes a portrait photograph.
Donald R. Krieger was born at Welland, Ontario, in April 1955 and enlisted in the Canadian Army at Winnipeg in July 1973. Posted to the 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, he served on United Nations duties in Cyprus from April until August 1976, in which latter month he was killed in a military vehicle accident at Goshi. Krieger, whose name is commemorated on the Canadian Contingent Memorial at Nicosia, is buried in the Brookside Cemetery, Winnipeg.
