Rifleman John Bernard Foley, 1st battalion Rifle Brigade was killed in action 25.5.1940, aged 22 years. His name is commemorated in the Calais Southern Cemetery.

Sold with a scrap book formed by his wife Nina Foley containing many wartime newspaper cuttings. Also sold with the recipient’s Army Certificate of Education 3rd Class, 29.9.1938, 2nd Class, 23.11.1938 and 1st Class, 22.3.1939.
