George Charles Weston enrolled in the Permanent Active Air Force as an Aircraftsman 2nd Class in May 1939, becoming an Aircraftsman 1st Class in December 1939. Promoted to Leading Aircraftsman in February 1940; Sergeant in October 1941 and Flight Sergeant in July 1942. Transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force Regular as Flight Sergeant in October 1946. Promoted to Warrant Officer Class 2 in November 1947; Flight Officer in April 1951; Flight Lieutenant in January 1954 and Squadron Leader in July 1959. Squadron Leader Weston died on 4 April 1990 and was buried at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Almonte, Ontario. With copied service papers. With cloth RCAF badge.
