Jamo Chintaka of Chintechi Village, Chiy Chingo (Nhkata Bay on Lake Nyassa), of the Atonga Tribe, enlisted on 1 December 1896, aged 29 years. He was discharged having attained the rank of Serjeant on 30 September 1911, on the reduction of the establishment, when the 2nd K.A.R. were disbanded.
