The collection described in the following 200 lots was mostly formed between the late 1950s and early 1970s, and has not been available for study since that time. As a young collector, the vendor maintained a close relationship with the late Monica Bussell at Seaby’s, from whom many of the better copper and bronze coins were acquired over 50 years ago. The coins have been carefully stored during the interim period, hence the superior condition and toning evident in many of the following lots
