Mrs Mary Connell’s monster saloon, Crampton court, was almost certainly associated with the Castle Tavern, 8 Crampton court, where she was the proprietor 1864-80 and issued tokens (Rice 74). Dan Lowry took over both premises in 1880 and ran his music hall from there – it is now the Olympia Theatre
