Thomas Llewellyn was born at Staunton-on-Wye, near Hereford and enlisted in the Welsh Regiment in October 1891, aged 19 years, direct from the 3rd (Militia) Battalion. In his subsequent career of 19 years with the Colours, which included tours of duty in India and Egypt, he saw no active service and he was discharged as a Sergeant in April 1911. Re-enlisting in the Welsh Regiment in September 1914, he was posted as a Sergeant to the 8th Battalion in June 1915 and served in Gallipoli until November of the same year. In May 1916 he transferred as a C.Q.M.S. to the 4th Battalion, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, in which month he was embarked for France. Finally, in September 1918, he transferred to 262 Company, the Labour Corps; sold with copied research.

George Llewellyn was born at Staunton-on-Wye, near Hereford and enlisted in the South Wales Borderers in May 1903, aged 24 years, direct from the Royal Engineers (Militia). Posted to the 1st Battalion, he served in South Africa and India in the period leading up to the Great War, but it was in the 1st Battalion that he was embarked for France in mid-August 1914. He remained actively employed in that theatre of war until May 1916, when he appears to have been discharged under Para. 1, 392 XXI King’s Regulations; sold with copied research.

Ivor Llewellyn also served in the Labour Corps.
