41st (Welch) Regiment Field Officer’s Waist Belt Plates c. 1830 - 1855, the first of regimental pattern and exceptionally rare displays on a rectangular back plate gilt mounts being the Prince of Wales’s crest and motto over an eight pointed star this with central ‘XLI’, below the star an ornate scroll ‘The Welch Regiment’; the second of universal pattern c. 1840 - 55 displays in silver on the burnished gilt rectangular back plate a crowned VR cypher over ‘41’, both items lack the loose D ring but are in excellent condition (2) £200-300
