Monmouthshire Rifle Volunteers 2nd (Pontypool) Company Waist Belt Clasp & an Other Ranks Excavated Pouch Belt Plate (Company Unknown), the first of officers 1855 pattern in brass (possibly originally blackened), on the circle ‘Second Monmouthshire Rifle Volunteers’, in the centre the crown/36 (county precedence number); the second in heavy die cast brass displays the crown over oak sprays with central Dragon, three thin screw post fasteners (excavated), the first with heavy wear to the crown/36 and to ‘Second’, the second item lacking the cross from the top of the crown (2) £80-120
