James VI (1567-1625), Balance Half-Merk, 1591, mm. mullet, 4.42g/4h (B 2; S 5491). Obverse flan flaw by inner circle between 8 and 9 o’clock and some light hairline scratches both sides, otherwise very fine, rare (£500-600)
