Fred Medland was born in Paignton, Devon, and served with 77 Field Company, Royal Engineers during the Great War. He was killed in action on the Western Front on 27 May 1917, and is buried in Orchard Dump Cemetery, France.
Sold together with a postcard photograph of the recipient, and a photograph of his grave.
