Upper Ward and Airdrie Yeomanry Officer’s Full Dress Flap Pouch c. 1850, the pouch of black moroccan with navy cloth face edged with silver lace on scarlet cloth, central ornaments in silver plate being St. Edward’s crown over the VR cypher, complete with carrying rings and a five shot wooden rack (see Carman Fig. 7 p. 26 Yeomanry Sabretaches 1988 for the corresponding sabretache), very good condition £240-340
Note: The silver lace and metalwork is at variance with the gilt one illustrated by Carman but the lace pattern and other aspects are consistent.
