Upper Tivy Loyal Regiment Medal 1809, an oval engraved medal with double stepped border, 55mm x 43mm, silver (hallmarks for London 1808), the obverse featuring a soldier loading a musket, legend around ‘Upper Tivy Loyal Regt.’, in exergue ‘GIIIR 1809’, the reverse inscribed ‘W. C. Gilbertson the most skilful marksman won this medal’, with hinged loop for suspension, minor dinting, otherwise very fine £160-200
