Kings of East Anglia, Penny, Eadstan (?), edelstan rex around omega, s, r and x of unusual form, rev. eadtan mn around cross, t of unusual form, both legends retrograde, 1.15g/12h (Pagan, BNJ 1982, –; BMC –; N – ; S –). Chipped at 1 and 5 o’clock and with two hairline cracks, otherwise very fine, the variety and moneyer unrecorded for the reign (£200-250)
