James IV (1488-1531), Groat, mm. crown, stars by neck, iiii at end of legend, no stops, rev. three pellets and annulet in first and fourth quarters, mullet in second and third quarters, star stops, 2.38g/7h (cf. SCBI 35, 851; S 5342). Hairline scratch in first and third quarters of reverse, otherwise very fine with a pleasing tone (£600-700)
