A. B. Brown served during the Great War with the Royal Flying Corps in the French theatre of war from 13 December 1914.

Alexander McLaren was a Tea Planter, who joined the Royal Flying Corps as a Cadet in December 1917. He was commissioned Second Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force, in May 1919.

Alexander Phillips was born in St. Leonards, Sussex, in 1878. He enlisted as Air Mechanic 1st Class in the Royal Naval Air Service, in June 1915. His service during the Great War included at R.N.A.S. Vendome, and he served in the French theatre of war from 27 December 1916. Phillips was discharged as Corporal (Blacksmith), 30 April 1920.
