Fothergill, 2 Lancashire Fusiliers’ as Missing in action at Venter’s Spruit on 20 January 1900, and then killed in action at Spion Kop on 24 January 1900; and ‘4966 Pte. T. Fothergill, 2 Lancashire Fusiliers’ as dying of wounds at Kroonstad on 24 June 1900.
