Army Veterinary Department Officer’s Shoulder Belt Full Dress Pouch c1880-1901. A fine quality example of ‘purse’ pattern covered in maroon Moroccan, the face and continuation then covered in maroon velvet, the face further embellished with gold thread embroidery, a crowned ‘VR’ cypher and broad oak sprays, the border covered in scallop/vellum gold lace, this with a maroon central line; side elements and carrying rings in gilt metal. Together with its foul weather cover this again in maroon Moroocan with velvet lining, very good overall condition (2) £60-100
