A Victorian gold and garnet set brooch and earpendant suite, 1870s, the marquise-shaped domed boss brooch with applied bead and wirework decoration, to a central cabochon garnet inset with a seed pearl set star, with matching smaller detachable pendant drop below, supporting a fringe of snake-link tassels, glazed locket and applied registration mark to the reverse, the earpendants ensuite with later screw back fittings, brooch length, including drop, 8cm. £700-800

The registration mark confirms the design was registered under ‘Metalwear, parcel 2’ on 20th August 1872.
