A late Victorian silver and enamelled vesta case depicting coat of arms, by Deakin & Francis, the arms of azure blue ground with yellow flory cross and five marlets, bearing maker’s marks and hallmarked for Birmingham, 1897, dimensions 47mm x 37mm. £80-100

The coat of arms is attributed to St Edward the Confessor, later used by Richard II.
