18th Century Tokens, LONDON, Skidmore’s British Penny, 1797, Britannia seated right, rev. twr cypher, date on tablet below, edge i promise to pay on demand the bearer one penny, 23.84g/6h (DH 6). Extremely fine, obverse with considerable original colour and most attractive, reverse diffused and with area of discolouration at 8 o’clock, very rare £400-500
