An early 20th century alexandrite and diamond cluster ring, the cushion-shaped mixed-cut alexandrite claw set within a cluster surround of old brilliant-cut diamonds, between trifurcated shoulders, to reeded shank, stamped ‘18ct’, accompanied by a GCS gemmological report, alexandrite approximately 1.3 carats, ring size O. £4000-6000
The GCS gemmological report dated 3rd August 2018, number 78171-96 confirms that the chrysoberyl, variety alexandrite is of natural origin with no indications of heat treatment.
