The Prince of Wales’s Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians) & Royal Engineers Officers’ Waist Belt Clasps c. 1881-1901, the first of special pattern, the gilt metal side panels being decorated with maple leaves, the centre overlaid with sprays of laurel and maple leaves enclosing a crowned circle ‘The Leinster Regt’, in the centre the Prince of Wales’s badge and motto, a double scroll at the base ‘Central India’, matching benchmarks (Ryan 237); the second with rectangular gilt backplate and silver mount being crowned laurels with pierced title strap ‘Royal Engineers’ and central VR cypher, complete with loose D end section, no gilt remains on the first item otherwise good overall condition (2) £80-120
