Hall Marked Silver Presentation Artillery Trophy in the Form of a Shell, a Silver and Enamelled Engraved Cigarette Case, the first 30.5 cms in length with detachable top section, the item is hall marked London 1930 by G.E. and is engraved ‘160th (C of L) A.A.Bty. R.A. (T.A.) Inter Section Gunnery Trophy Presented by Capt. R.A. Sparks R.A. (T.A.) 1930’ in two sections, the warhead section is also hall marked by the same maker and carries some engraved calibration. The silver cigarette case is hall marked Birmingham 1918, the front carrying two enamelled Div. signs one being a horseshoe in red enamel and the other of chequered format in red and white enamel. It is engraved Feb. 16th 1919 and lists various Battle Honours 1915 - 1918 and also long hand inscriptions ‘Averil (?) and Fred’, the interior with silver gilt finish and original elastic retaining bands, the first item with some minor dents otherwise good overall condition (2) £180-220
