W. Goodson (listed as 3443 Private H. Goodson in the latest published Casualty Roll) served with the 12th (South Nottinghamshire Hussars) Company, 3rd Battalion Imperial Yeomanry in South Africa during the Boer War, and was wounded at Klipskruil on 9 December 1900.
