Arty.); Waterloo 1815 (Will. Seaker, Farrier, Royal Horse Artillery.) fitted with contemporary replacement silver ball and bar suspension; Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., large letter reverse ([W]. Seaker, Farrier Major Royal Horse Artill. 184[0]) fitted with replacement silver bar suspension which obscures initial and last digit of year, solder repair to left side of carriage on M.G.S., overall edge bruising and contact marks, the Waterloo fine, otherwise nearly very fine (3) £4000-5000

William Seaker served throughout in Captain Hew Ross’s ‘A’ Troop, the Chestnut Troop, Royal Horse Artillery. ‘A’ Troop was attached to the Light Division when it was upgraded from a Brigade and augmented with two Portuguese battalions, the 14th Light Dragoons and ‘A’Troop.
