Frank Scott Winser was born in Dublin, Ireland, on 3 October 1882, and was a civil engineer by profession. He enlisted at Edmonton on 22 January 1915, and embarked for England on 4 June 1915. He served in France with the 49th Battalion, General List, attached 9th Reserve Battalion, and 8th Canadian Infantry Brigade. He was wounded on 5 June 1916, promoted to Acting Captain in December 1916, and to Acting Major in March 1917. Sold with comprehensive copied personnel file.
