Arthur Southam Howes was born on 10 June 1912 and attested for the Royal Army Service Corps at Staverly on 3 June 1940, a Motor Driver by trade. He served during the Second World War with No. 515 Company, R.A.S.C. in North Africa, 16 August 1941 to 18 September 1943; Italy from 20 September to 22 December 1943; and in North West Europe from 7 June 1944 to 8 May 1945.
Sold with the recipient’s Soldier’s Service and Pay Book; two card identity tags; various Standing Orders for Drivers of Mechanical Vehicles booklets; a large quantity of original photographs; various cap badges and unit insignia; and various other ephemera.
