1914 Star (7019 Pte. J. H. Owen. 1/Norf: R.) nearly extremely fine £70-90

James Henry Owen was born in Gibraltar in 1889 and attested for the Norfolk Regiment at Portsmouth. He served with the 1st Battalion during the Great War, and was Mentioned in Despatches (London Gazette 22 June 1915). He was killed in action on the Western Front on 25 November 1915, and is buried in the Citadel New Military Cemetery, Fricourt, Somme, France.
