William Heymer McCallum, a native of Ormskirk, came from a family of Chief Engineers in the Merchant Navy, and after working as an Engineer in Shanghai served as Superintendent of Warrington Power Station (Fiddlers Ferry) during the Second World War, where he kept the facility running throughout the War.
Sold with the original Bestowal Document for the M.B.E.; a copy of the Statutes of the Order of the British Empire; and a portrait photograph of the recipient.
