Harold George Daniels was born in Stoke Ferry, Norfolk, on 4 March 1906 and was commissioned Lieutenant in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps on 14 October 1939, being promoted War Substantive Captain and Temporary Major on 3 September 1940. In civilian life he was employed as a Chartered Accountant in Reigate, Surrey and was a Justice of the Peace and a Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey from August 1963. He was appointed a Serving Brother in the Order of St. John in 1967 (London Gazette 20 June 1967), and advanced to Commander in 1983 (London Gazette 11 January 1983). He died in Norfolk in March 1982.
