Edgar Burgess Reeks was commissioned Pilot Officer, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve, on 9 August 1941. He was promoted Flying Officer on 1 October 1942, and relinquished his commission with the rank of Flight Lieutenant on 10 February 1954.
