Percy Albert Thompson was born in Brixton, London, and attested for the Hampshire Regiment at Camberwell, London. He served with the 2nd Battalion during the Great War on the Western Front, was promoted Lance-Corporal, and was killed in action on 16 August 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial, Belgium.
