Allen Albert Woolger was born at Tonbridge, Kent, on 16 December 1902, and joined the Royal Navy as a Probationary Sick Berth Attendant on 11 March 1921. He served at Chatham Hospital and was confirmed as Sick Berth Attendant on 11 March 1922.
