Charles I (1625-1649), Bristol mint, Shilling, 1644, mm. cross of five pellets on obv. only, bust of good style, plume in front, rev. Declaration, reads prot, three plumes above, date and br below, 5.46g/10h (Morr. C-3; cf. SCBI Brooker 996; N 2501; S 3016). Some minor flan flaws, otherwise good very fine, very rare £800-1,000
