Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp B, mm. upright anchor (over castle over negro’s head on obv.), bust 2, mostly colon stops, plume above shield, no cross, no stops, 5.97g/3h (Sharp B2/2; SCBI Brooker 428, same obv. die; N 2220; S 2785). Small edge flaw at 5 o’clock, otherwise very fine or better, rare £400-500
