United States of America, The Brig Antelope, a George III Halfpenny, 1773, obv. planed flat and engraved with a ship sailing right, antelope below, 8.14g. Very fine £120-£150

The brig Antelope was built in Boston in 1843 for the firm Russell and Co. She spent her entire career sailing in the Chinese opium trade, and was wrecked off the Chinese coast in 1852
