Francis William Henry Ferrey served during the Great War with the 2nd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment in the Gallipoli theatre of war from 15 June 1915. He was awarded his M.M. for gallantry in the French theatre of war, and discharged due to wounds, 25 September 1918 (entitled to Silver War Badge).
