Arthur John Davies, originally from Abertillery, Wales, enlisted in the Welsh Regiment in January 1915. Subsequently awarded the M.M. gallant deeds in the 17th Battalion, he was discharged from the 3rd Battalion in March 1919 and was entitled to the Silver War Badge; the 1939-45 War M.I.D. remains unverified.
