Sold with a copied photograph of ‘Trumpeter-Major Shah Wali Khan as a Herald’s Trumpeter at the Delhi Durbar, 1911’ taken from the regimental history.
‘The Trumpeter-Major of the regiment was one of the Herald’s Trumpeters at the Durbar. To commemorate this the officers were presented with the Silver Trumpet and Bannerol used at the ceremony. The coat worn by the Trumpeter was presented to him by the Committee and was purchased from him by the officers to keep with the Trumpet.’
