Frank Playsted, 4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 11 November 1914. He died on 13 April 1915 and was buried in the Southend-on-Sea (Sutton Road) Cemetery.

Lionel Harry Playsted lived in Croydon and enlisted at London. Serving in the 6th (City of London) Battalion (Rifles) London Regiment, he was killed in action on 20 September 1917. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. He was the only son of Mr H. Playsted, of 29 Grosvenor Avenue, Wallington, Surrey. With copied research.
