Three: Warrant Officer C. W. Dight, 1st South African Infantry, late Natal Light Horse, who was killed in action on the Western Front on 21 May 1915

Charles William Dight was born in Kent, and served during the Great War initially with the Natal Light Horse in German South West Africa, before attesting for the South African Overseas Expeditionary Force at Potchefstroom on 7 September 1915. He served with the 1st South African Infantry on the Western Front from 20 April 1916, and was killed in action on 21 May 1916. He is buried in Gunners Farm Military Cemetery, France.
