Lawrence Ernest Reginald Watts born in Woolwich on 21 May 1918, and attested for the Queen’s Royal Regiment on 26 April 1939. He transferred to the Royal Army Service Corps on 22 January 1941 and then re-enlisted into the Queen’s Royal Regiment on 12 May 1947; with this unit he earned the two further awards bars to his Efficiency Medal, these two being scarce to his unit.
