M.I.D. London Gazette 8 December 1953:
‘In recognition of gallant and distinguished services in Korea during the period 1st January to 30th June, 1953.’
Cyril William Peat was commissioned Captain in the Royal Army Ordnance Corps (Territorial Army) in September 1948. He transferred from the Territorials to be a Lieutenant in the Regular Army in February 1951, and was advanced to Temporary Captain whilst serving in Korea.
