Army L.S. & G.C., V.R., 2nd issue, large letter reverse, engraved naming (Serjt. Major George Pennymore. Coldm. Guards) engraved naming, slightly worn, therefore nearly very fine £100-£140

George Pennymore was born in Tiverton, Devon, and attested for the Coldstream Guards at Taunton in June 1837. He advanced to Corporal in December 1839, and to Sergeant Major in May 1853. Pennymore was discharged, 24 January 1860, having served 22 years and 231 days with the Colours, all of which were at Home.
