Kenneth Roy Owen was born in Didsbury, Manchester, on 28 December 1921, and attested for the Royal Engineers on 20 June 1939. A typed letter included with the lot states that he was involved during the Second World War with the Special Operations Executive (confirmed in his soldier’s service book), but this information has not been verified.
